 | Doctor Alna van der MerweAlna holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics, and presently works as a Senior Lecturer at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Since 1996, she has been involved with LGBTI-affirming churches in Pretoria and Cape Town. From 2005 to 2008, Alna was the leader of the worship team of Good Hope Metropolitan Community Church (GHMCC) in Cape Town. During this period, GHMCC received an international UFMCC merit award for excellence in ecumenical interaction. In 2007, Alna completed a BTh at Unisa. Her studies led her to a deeper understanding of the richness and diversity of religious expression in South Africa. |
Reverend Father Stefan HipplerStefan is a Catholic priest, serving in the Archdiocese of Cape Town for the German-speaking Catholic Community in Cape Town and Durban. He is the founder of the HOPE Cape Town Association and Trust, which works in the fields of HIV/Aids in the Western Cape. |  |
| Liezl Van Der WesthuizenLiezl holds a Masters degree in Practical Theology and worked or the Dutch Reformed Church for 6 years. She lectured Practical Theology in Youth Ministry. Liezl was also co-founder of a youth Development organisation that specialised in the empowerment and training of youth leaders. Since 2006 she lectures in Development Studies with a specific focus on community development. Currently she is the Operations Manager of Continuing Education at Huguenot College. |
Reverend Michelle BoonzaaierMichelle studied Theology, started with Batchelors degree in iaconia in Youth Work and obtained her Masters degree in ivinity from Stellenbosch University. Her career started off with Agricultural development, working with small farmers and doing undraising for the Institute for the Blind, before she entered the Ministry as Dutch Reformed Church Family’s Commission for Witness in Action as their Communications Officer for the Western and Southern Cape region. |  |
 | Rev Phumzile Zondi MabizelaRev Zondi-Mabizela is the Chief Executive Officer of the KwaZulu -Natal Christian Council. She has been in this position since July 2006. She has a Bachelor of Theology Honours degree and is currently reading towards a Master of Theology in Gender and Religion at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She worked for IAM in KZN for a few months in 2006 before joining the Council. She also worked for the Institute for the Study of the Bible, a project of the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s School of Theology now known as Ujamaa Centre, as the Women and Gender Programme co-ordinator for six years. She is passionate about creating space for marginalized groups to articulate their interpretation of the Bible and finding the “Good News” together with them. She is an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church of Africa. |
